(OLNEY/NEWTON) With that back door cold front moving through northern Illinois this morning, our sky will be mixed up today with some sunshine and increasing clouds. Another low pressure system and associated short wave over in Missouri will move eastward, converging with the southward moving cold front, giving us a chance of late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. The rain chances will end by midnight with the likelihood of more patchy dense fog by daybreak tomorrow morning. Then an upper level ridge will move in for a dry sky Saturday through Monday with rain chances in the forecast for next Tuesday through Thursday. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for updates and details.
