The Dundas Ruritan will host its annual “bulk chowder” this Saturday (4/14/18) with serving to start at 11:00 and continuing until it’s all sold out. Priced at $15 per gallon, the chowder’s available by the gallon or half gallon, plus there will be homemade pies and other baked goods. Bring your own containers, but no glass.
The First National Bank in Olney Relay For Life team is still selling candy bars, now through this Friday, April 13 at the Route 130 Branch. Stop by and get your $1 fundraising candy bars today. All proceeds go to our local fight against cancer for this Saturday’s Richland County Relay For Life.
The Calhoun Community Club will have its next meeting this coming Thursday night, April 12, at the Community Club Building in Calhoun, starting at 7:00. Anyone interested in serving on the board or other volunteers are encouraged to attend. Discussion will include the continuance of the Community Club and this year’s Labor Day Chowder.
A “mission trip” fundraiser is coming up to send two local ladies to Zambia, Africa in June this year. It’s a spring wreath-making event, led by Sam Benson of Ivy’s Cottage in Olney, with supplies provided. The cost is $40 per wreath, but only 25 seats are available. A Relay For Life “silent auction” fundraiser is tomorrow (4/10/18) in the private dining rooms at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. The public is encouraged to stop by from 9:00 to 3:30 tomorrow, look over the various items, and make a bid to help in our local fight against cancer for this Saturday’s Relay For Life.
The Steber Family Farms team is having a Relay For Life fundraiser today (4/9/18) through tonight at Monical’s Pizza in Olney. Customers need to fill out a fundraising form before they pay for their meal and 20% of the receipt will be donated to the local fight against cancer.
