The Calhoun Community Club will host a fundraising breakfast this coming Saturday (6/9/18) with serving from 7:00 to 11:00, or until gone, at the Calhoun Community Building. Also a Rummage Sale from 7:00 to 3:00. Breakfast tickets at the door, at $7 per adult and $4 per child 10 years old and under. All are invited out.
It’s another “taco night” this coming Friday (6/8/18) night at the Olney VFW, with serving from 5:30 until 7:30. It’s open to the public with call in orders welcomed for pick up or stop by and eat in. All proceeds will go towards various community projects sponsored in part by the VFW and its Auxiliary. All are invited.
The Autism Awareness pork burger fundraiser is coming up this Friday (6/8/18) at the Villas of Holly Brook in Newton with pork burger meals and raffle tickets available from 10:30 to 1:00. All proceeds will go to the Craig A. Nester Foundation to help create Autism Awareness. All are invited to help out this Friday.
The annual visit of the Ainad Shriners Circus to the Olney City Park is this Wednesday (6/6/18) night at 7:30. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children in advance & at the gate. The Cummins Municipal Band will be in concert again this coming Wednesday (6/6/18) night at the Band Shell in the Olney City Park, beginning at 7:30. Bring your lawn chairs and refreshments and enjoy the great music. The concerts continue every Wednesday night in June and finish up with a concert on Wednesday, July 4th.
