(OLNEY)  in Women’s Junior College Basketball last night – OCC wins a non-conference game at home
the Lady Knights beat Danville Area Community College in “The Dungeon”, 75-50
* OCC was led by Hannah Coleman with another double/double, with 18 points and 11 rebounds
* Kayla Sanford and Haley Baxter each scored 10 points apiece
* the OCC Ladies improve to 7-3 on the year and remain at 3-1 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference
in one other score from last night involving another GRAC team
* John A. Logan lost a close one to Three Rivers Community College in Missouri, 72-73
the Lady Knights are back in District 16 action this Saturday evening at Vincennes University


(OLNEY)  in Boys High School Basketball last night – Olney loses a close game on the road
the Tigers fell by two points at Effingham, 50-52
* Brent Hatten scored 17 points while Dakotah Brown & Sutton Dunn added 13 and 12 points respectively
* the varsity Tigers fall back to 2-4 on the year and remain at 0-1 in the Little Illini Conference
Olney won the junior varsity game over Effingham, 41-34
the Tigers are back in LIC conference action Friday night traveling to Bridgeport to play Red Hill


(NEWTON)  in Boys High School Hoops last night – Newton lost in non-LIC action on the road
the Eagles lost at Altamont, 61-68
* Zach Jansen scored 16 points while Collin Harris & Jack Chapman added 15 and 14 points respectively
* the varsity Eagles are now 4-2 on the year and remain at 1-0 in the Little Illini Conference
Newton won the junior varsity game over Altamont, 57-40
the Eagles are back in action with a non-LIC game this Friday night at home against North Clay

the Cubs won a close 8th grade game at Teutopolis, 30-29
* Olney was led by Chase Travis with 17 points and 6 rebounds – Chance Hinton added 9 points
Teutopolis won the 7th grade game, 32-15
while the Olney varsity improves to 8-1 on the year, the junior varsity is now 5-2 on the season
the Cubs are back in action tomorrow night as they’ll host Newton Jasper County in the RCMS Gym

* the OCC Blue Knights will host Indiana Elite Prep at 7:30 in “The Dungeon”
* elsewhere – it’s Shawnee at Mineral Area College in Missouri
* Lake Land plays Lincoln Land up in Springfield
* Rend Lake is at Danville Area Community College
* and Lincoln Trail will host Ivy Tech just northeast of Robinson

the Illini have a non-conference test tonight against Austin Peay at the State Farm Center with a 7:00 tipoff
* Illinois has dropped three in a row, the last two have been overtime losses in Big Ten action
* while the Governors came in at 4-4 on the year, the Fighting Illini enter tonight’s game at 6-3 overall
